2nd Apparition – 13-6-1917. Lúcia says that she waited a while and during this time she was praying the rosary, and when they were about to pray the litany she said: don't start, for there isn't time now, since there were many people there, because she had already seen the lightning flash; and she went to the holm-oak shrub with the people who were there: on arriving she made a bow, bending one knee, and at the same time the Lady arrived, coming in an oblique line from the east side, and she asked the question:

– Well then, what do you want of me?

– Então o que é que me quer?

– “I want to tell you to come back here on the 13th and to learn to read so that I can tell you what I want of you.”

– Then don't you want anything else?

– Então não quer mais nada?

– I want nothing more.

– Não quero mais.

The dress was: a white mantle which reached from the head to the bottom of the skirt; it was gilded from the waist down, with cords running across and from top to bottom, and at the edges the gold was closer together. The skirt was all white and gilded with cords lengthwise and crosswise, but it reached only to the knee; a white jacket, not gilded, with only two or three cords at the cuffs; she had no shoes, she had white stockings, not gilded; round her neck she had a gold cord with a medal at the ends; she had her hands raised; in her ears she had some very tiny studs, very close to the ears; she parted her hands when she spoke; she had black eyes; she was of medium height.
