"On 13 July I was near the children. As soon as they arrived, they knelt down and began to say the rosary. When they had finished saying it, Lucia said: "let whoever can kneel". Then I heard her ask some questions. Among other things she said: "A person in Pedrogam asks the Lady to cure her or take her to Heaven". She also asked for the conversion of a family from Athouguia and of another from Fatima. Finally I heard these words from her: "The Lady said that she would work a miracle so that all the people will believe"
No dia 13 de julho estive proximo das creanças. Logo que chegaram, ajoelharam-se e começaram a rezar o terço. Quando acabaram de o rezar, a Lucia disse: “ajoelhe quem puder”. Em seguida ouvi-lhe fazer algumas perguntas. Entre outras cousas disse: “Uma creatura no Pedrogam pede á Senhora que a cure ou a leve para o Ceu”. Pediu tambem a conversão de uma familia de Athouguia e de outra da Fatima. Por ultimo ouvi-lhe estas palavras: “A Senhora disse que havia de fazer um milagre com que todo o povo acredite”
