On the 6th the Ex.mo Mr Pedro invited me to go to the place in the parish of Fatima where they say Our Lady appeared. I accepted the favour with great joy, because for 9 years I have not left my house, owing to my illness and to being unable to walk; so the Ex.mo Mr Pedro drove me himself in his carriage, and I was accompanied by my husband and by Snr.a Gertrudes; all of them helped me in every way. When we left my house we went towards the hill of the woods, where I passed the chapel of S. Bernardo, which gave me great joy, because for 9 years I had not passed those places or any others; then Sobral, where I saw the chapel of Our Lady of Grace; at Bairro I also saw the chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes; a little further on we saw Mr Manuel Pereira and his wife, who came up to the carriage, greeted us and offered us a little glass of wine. We went on with the journey, and when we reached Fatima the Ex.mo Mr Pedro asked after the little girls, who just then were coming out of school; then, at the schoolmistress's bidding, the girls came up to the carriage and spoke with other people who were there, and we asked them about Our Lady, and they always affirmed the same thing: that they saw her, heard her and spoke with her. After we heard what they said, the Ex.mo Mr Pedro invited them to ride in the carriage as far as the turning for the hamlet of Ajustrel, where they went, with my husband, to ask their parents, out of obedience, for leave to come with us to the place where the little girls say Our Lady appeared. There was a short stretch where the carriage could not go, but because I wanted it so much, with the help of the Most Holy Virgin Mary and the efforts of Snr.a Gertrudes and my husband, I got there with great difficulty. I cannot explain what I felt in my heart when I found myself in that place. My tears ran down one after another; however much I wanted to hold them back, I could not. Then the three little ones arrived, with the Ex.mo Mr Pedro and some other people who came with us, and then the girl Lucia said the rosary in public with a faith and devotion that I cannot explain. Next the prayer for Peace was said, and another to the Most Holy Virgin. In remembrance of my journey I left an image of Our Lady of Lourdes there. From there we went to the carriage, which was a little way off; the Ex.mo Mr Pedro had all three children ride in the carriage as far as the turning for the hamlet of Ajustrel, and when they got there they said goodbye to us with many kisses and greetings. On the way back, when we reached Fatima, we got down from the carriage and I went into the church, which I had not entered for 15 years; I was accompanied by Snr.a Gertrudes, and we knelt in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament for a few minutes. Then we came out, and the Rev.mo parish priest Manoel Marques Ferreira and his sister came up and greeted us, and we returned their greeting with great pleasure. Then we got back into the carriage and continued the journey, and we got home at 5 p.m., all well. For my part, I did not come back with my sufferings increased, thanks be to God for ever.

Português (original)

No dia 6 o Ex.mo Snr. Minhas lagrimas corriam fio a fio.
