English

Her two daughters, Maria dos Anjos and Carolina, questioned Lúcia about the events of the previous day and went home and said that their sister really had seen something. Finally, the mother too asked her what she had seen. She said that she saw a very beautiful little woman; that the dress she wore was all white, that to the question – “where she was from” – she had pointed to Heaven saying she was from there, and that, when she asked her whether Francisco, Jacinta and she, Lúcia, would not go to Heaven, the apparition answered yes. Her mother, on hearing these words, exclaimed: “How lucky you are!” The Lady said that she wanted them to go there six months running and that at the end she would say what she wanted.
