Priest born 13 January 1881 at Reguengo (Batalha), aged 36, a fellow student of Joel de Deus Magno and parish priest of S. João de Porto de Mós from 1908 to 1939. On 13 August 1917 he came with the Ourém administrator to the seers' homes and was at the Fátima parish house when the children were taken away, telling the parish priest he believed them; according to Manuel Marto he questioned the children again eight or nine days before 13 October.
