I acknowledge receipt of Your Excy's Official letter of 29 October last, no. 1165, in which Your Excy instructs me to inform you by whom the cutting of the holm-oak shrubs was done, one of them being the one they said served as a pedestal for Our Lady; of these said holm-oak shrubs, at the time of the cutting there was nothing left but the trunk, as a consequence of the great gathering of people who came together on the 13th of each month, and everyone wanted8 to take a relic, and so there was nothing left of them but the trunk, but that same trunk must have been 5 to 7 centimetres in diameter near the ground; they gave it the name of holm-oak shrub because it was a shoot from the root of the holm oak, still considered worthless today.
