The children had gone to the usual place. At one o'clock precisely the rain suddenly stopped, and the sun appeared brilliant, and there follow things which, were I to live a thousand years (says a person who observed it), could never be erased from my memory. It is an unspeakable marvel that my eyes see.”

As creanças haviam ido para o logar do costume. Á uma hora em ponto a chuva cessou de repente, e o sol appareceu brilhante, e seguem-se coisas que mil annos que eu viva (diz uma pessoa que observou) nunca da minha memoria se poderão apagar. É uma indizivel maravilha o que os meus olhos veem.”
