A learned primary-school teacher6 who, even before the end of the month of October, attended at the place of the apparitions the recitation of the rosary led by Lúcia, declared that he had been unfavourably impressed to see the child's distraction, as he expected her to be recollected and absorbed in an almost ecstatic detachment from all the things of the world at the place where she had had the incomparable good fortune of contemplating the Queen of Heaven.
Um ilustrado professor de instrução primária6, que, ainda antes do fim do mês de outubro, assistiu no local das aparições à recitação do terço presidida pela Lúcia, declarou ter ficado mal impressionado ao ver a distração da criança, que ele esperava que se recolhesse e concentrasse num alheamento quase estático de todas as coisas do mundo no sítio em que tivera a ventura incomparável de contemplar a Rainha do Céu.
