The father picked Jacinta up in his arms to get through the crowd more easily. She said she had seen Our Lady again. Some days later, the eldest daughter, Florinda, said that Jacinta had said to Lúcia: “Speak to her, Lúcia, she's already talking”.

O pai pegou na Jacinta ao colo para atravessar mais facilmente por entre a multidão. Ela disse ter visto outra vez Nossa Senhora. Passados dias, a filha mais velha, Florinda, disse que a Jacinta tinha dito para a Lúcia: “Fala-lhe, Lúcia, que ela já está a falar”.
