His wife and Jacinta arrived and he asked his daughter what had happened, and she said that Our Lady had appeared; that those who had gone with the cattle were João, Lúcia and Francisco, that João had called her and that, as soon as she got there, Our Lady appeared, and that Our Lady of Sorrows (so it seems to him), Our Lady of the Rosary, Saint Joseph and the Child Jesus would appear.
Chegaram a mulher e a Jacinta e ele perguntou à filha o que havia, tendo ela dito que Nossa Senhora tinha aparecido; que quem ia com o gado eram o João, a Lúcia e o Francisco, que o João chamou-a e que, logo que ela lá chegou apareceu Nossa Senhora, e que haviam de aparecer Nossa Senhora das Dores, (segundo lhe parece), Nossa Senhora do Rosário, S. José e o Menino Jesus.
