On the thirteenth of October it was raining. They advised him not to go because they might do him harm, although they would not do it to the children, since they were children. He went in their company. There were then many people at the place, which had turned into an enormous quagmire. He heard Jacinta shout that they should not crush her. Lúcia said: “She's here!” The people asserted that they saw colours in the sun and in the sky. The sun did not hurt the eyes at all. He heard no voice. He heard it said, either by Lúcia or by other people, that Our Lady wanted Our Lord not to be offended any more, since He was very much offended, and that the war was going to end.

O povo afirmava ver cores no sol e no céu.
