When Lúcia said that the Lady was coming, her son slipped and fell. She asked them to pray for him, to which she said that the Lady had said she would make him better or give him the means to earn his living, and that he should always pray the rosary to Our Lady with his family. They were all kneeling. Lúcia said: “Our Lady is coming now”. The same buzzing was heard when she spoke, and the same rocket-like whistle at her departure. Before the apparition they prayed the rosary. Her husband said that she looked at the Lady and from time to time to the side, and that he asked her why she did that, to which she answered that it was because the radiance she had blinded her eyes. Lúcia asked for the recovery of a person from Pedrógão, for the conversion of a family from Fátima, and for a man from Atouguia who had asked her that Our Lady should take him to Heaven as soon as possible. Afterwards the deponent heard that the little girl had stated that Our Lady had said he should not be in a hurry, for she knew very well when she would take him.

Lúcia also stated that the Lady had told her the secret. At the time of the apparition an ai was heard, and the little girl was frightened. After that day many people came looking for her and asked her the secret. One day some ladies came and one of them asked her whether the secret was good or bad, and she said that for some it was good, for others it was bad, and for her and her cousins it was good.

Disse a Lúcia: “Já lá vem Nossa Senhora”.
