Born 17 June 1901 (aged 16), daughter of Isabel de Sousa Holstein Brandão de Melo (daughter of the 1st Marquises of Sesimbra) and the artillery colonel António Mimoso Brandão de Melo; 'Geni' in the letter of Leonor das Dores Salema Manoel, with whom she was at the Cova on 13 October 1917.

Did it happen to anyone else besides me and Geni14, who saw nothing at the place and saw something afterwards, though not as much as I was seeing and describing to her, whereas Marianna was one of those almost in ecstasy!
