Mostraram-se quase indignados e disseram-me “que para eles não restava a menor dúvida de que se tratava de um milagre, pois que eles já anteriormente, no dia 13 de setembro último, ali tinham estado e tinham presenciado no sol extraordinários fenômenos luminosos, precisamente à hora indicada pelas pastorinhas; que o clero não estava bem informado e que, se eu duvidava, que esperasse”.
