When the children went back to the Cova da Iria, she told them to ask the Lady what was to be done with the money. At Valinhos, when the apparition took place there on the nineteenth of the same month, the little girl did indeed put that question to the Lady, and the Lady said that they should make two litters and take them to the church of Our Lady of the Rosary. Many people were sorry that the money was not to be spent on something to be made at the place, and they told Lúcia to ask permission to build a chapel at the place, permission which the Lady gave on the thirteenth of September, on condition that half of the money on hand be given to Our Lady of the Rosary of Fátima. The sum of thirteen thousand five hundred and forty was collected by the thirteenth of September. And what the Lady ordered was carried out.
