The Bishop of Portalegre (in 1917 D. Manuel Mendes da Conceição Santos) and Maria de Jesus d'Oriol Pena Raposo, who with others at Torres Novas saw the sun rotate and change colour on 20 October 1917; Raposo, who had also been at Fátima on 13 October, judged it different and less important.

The Bishop of Portalegre and Sra D. Maria de Jesus Raposo report that, while they were with other people in Torres [2] Novas* on 20 October last, at about ____? o'clock in the day, they saw the sun's rotating movement and change of colours.

The same lady says that these manifestations of the sun were very different from those at Fátima and did not have the importance of those of 13 October last.

Relatam o Sr. Bispo de Portalegre e a Sra D. Maria de Jesus Raposo que estando com outras pessoas em Torres [2] Novas, no dia 20 de Outubro findo pelas ____? horas do dia viram o movimento de rotação do sol e mudança de côres.

Diz a mesma Senhora que essas manifestações do sol foram mui differentes, das de Fátima e não tiveram a importância de 13 de outubro findo.

I would ask once again for an explanation of the difference between the phenomenon of the sun's rotation at Fátima and the one observed at T. Novas* by Dona* Maria de Jesus Raposo and the Lord Bishop of Portalegre. I should also like to know: 1st, at what [2] time of day this took place; 2nd, how long this movement lasted.

Pedia mais uma vez explicações sôbre a differença do phenomeno da rotação do sol em Fátima, e a que foi observada em T. Novas pela Sa D. Maria de Jesus Raposo e o Sr. Bispo de Portalegre. E desejava saber tambem: 1º a que [2] horas do dia teve isso logar; 2º por quanto tempo durou esse tal movimento.
