We went on with the journey and when we reached Fatima the Ex.mo Mr Pedro asked after the little girls, who just then were coming out of school, and then, on the Sn.a schoolmistress's orders, the girls came up to the carriage and spoke with other people who were there, where we asked them about Our Lady and they always affirmed the same thing, that they saw her, heard her and spoke with her:

Pedro perguntou pelas pequenas, onde ellas então vinham a sair da escola e depois por mandado da Sn.a professora as meninas chegaram ao pé do carro e falaram com mais pessoas que ali estavam, onde lhe perguntámos com respeito a N. Senhora e ellas afirmaram sempre a mesma cousa, que a viram, ouviram e falaram com ella:
