Algumas vezes e em diversas ocasiões interroguei o Francisco e sempre me disse que viu uma Senhora muito bonita na Cova da Iria e no Valinho nos mesmos dias que suas companheiras tinham indicado e que vinha vestida de branco, mas que não A ouvia falar. A respeito do segredo nada consegui que me revelasse. Dizendo-lhe eu que, não ouvindo ele a Senhora, não tinha segredo algum, respondeu que sim, tem, que lhe disse a Lúcia. Disse-lhe que, como foi a Lúcia que o disse, podia-me dizer, porque não é segredo nem Nossa Senhora lhe disse que o não dissesse, respondeu: não digo, que é pecado, que a Lúcia disse que o não dissesse eu, por isso não digo.
