“In August, on the 13th, a little white cloud appeared which moved from south to north towards the east, taking on various very lovely colours. The sun lost its brightness completely, so that one could look at it, and it changed colours.

On the thirteenth of September I found myself at the same place with my back turned to the north. I was a little disheartened at not seeing anything extraordinary as in the previous month. People who were near me were shouting that they had seen. Suddenly I see pass by something like one of those foam bubbles that children make by blowing through a little straw. The first time I saw it pass, I kept quiet. I saw it a second time and then I as-[2]ked aloud: what is this? I cannot explain what it was. I lost sight of it a dozen metre[s] above the holm-oak shrub. My wife did not see it because she was looking the other way. I did not stare at the sun then. In the same month I also saw a blue streak in a dark-coloured cloud moving in the direction opposite to the sun.
